At the Government meeting on May 17, 2023 the special license for the construction of the Shiveekhuren-Sekhe railway infrastructure has been granted to the “Nariinsukhait Railway” company. Thus, on this day, a historic event is taking place, which marks the beginning of the work on the Shiveekhuren-Sekhe port cross-border railway project. The main track length of the Shiveekhuren-Sekhe port cross-border railway will be 7.7 km, the total length will be 19.3 km, and it will have 1 station, 2nd class, It is planned to build a narrow gauge railway. As part of the preparatory work for the construction of the railway, the Mongolian Railway Corporation has completed the engineering-geodesy, engineering-geological, geotechnical, and hydrological research necessary for the construction of the Shiveekhuren-Sekhee port railway.
